Welcome

Hello and welcome to all our new and current families at The Ponds ELC!

Our team of educators are excited to have the opportunity to work with you and your family during the year. Together we will coordinate the learning programs and events for all the rooms at the centre. We encourage you to feel free to come and talk to us or our team about any issue concerning your child or the centre. As most parents know we are more than happy to take the time to talk with you. Directors — Gisell and Lupe

About Us

The Ponds ELC was founded in 2013 in the new suburb of The Ponds. Directors Gisell and Lupe are both qualified Early Childhood Education Teachers who have worked in the industry for 23 years and over 41 years respectively. Gisell has also completed studies in Special Education at a Post Graduate level. Over the years we have aimed to provide a unique early childhood experience that promotes lifelong learning in a warm, family orientated environment. During our time teaching we have developed our distinctive teaching philosophy and have come to see children as unique individuals and also as important members of our community. We believe strongly in promoting the benefits of education from a young age and also in helping children grow to be confident members of our society. We also believe in working together with families to create a strong working partnership where information can be exchanged from preschool to home and visa versa.

The role of the family

Every family will have different expectations of the centre and the teaching team. This is natural and we are open to finding out what your expectations are. It is also important that families recognise that the centre has expectations regarding the role of the family. We do expect that families will be positive and supportive of our efforts and the program by working with us to help your child. Please make sure that you take the time to read and keep up to date with our newsletters and events at the centre. We welcome your comments, suggestions or constructive feedback that you may have to share. Together we can create a valuable partnership and work towards the best outcomes for your child.
